Today, many people still belong to one of the great world religions, such as Christianity, which is the main religion in Scandinavia and greater part of Europe, the US and Australia.

Lately, there's been a growing interest in other newer religions or faiths. Wicca is one of them, Asatru another. I'm fascinated by both, as well as Bhuddism and Jainism, and Romuva (a Lithuanian pagan faith).

However, there's another way of looking at life and spiritual matters. The Goddess, the Great Goddess, the Great Mother, the Mother Goddess, Gaia... She has many incarnations.

From what I've seen of this philosophy, you don't need to belong to any church or community. All you need to do is look at the world from this aspect.

Personally, I'm an agnostic (with some panteistic tendencies), so my interest in the Goddess is more symbolic than religious. One of the things that attracts me to this philosophy is the focus on the female aspect. It's about time the world turns to this way of thinking.
