We might have left nature far behind. Our homes contain a lot that our grandparents could hardly imagine - at least today's incarnations of the technology they used.

Cell phones (or as we call them in Europe - mobile phones), cordless phones (dectphones), computers (with the internet), digital tv, cd-and dvd-players. It would be hard to get along without them. And the materials our homes consist of tend to be more and more synthetic. That can lead to the 'old' human inside us feeling rootless.

Outside the house, we have (if we're lucky) a garden. And outside that (if we're really, really lucky) we have woods. But what about inside the house? What do we do about that? A bit of green might make us feel better. Indoor plants.

I'm far from an expert on the care of indoor plants. Instead, I'd like to tell you why I love plants and which ones I prefer. On the next page you'll find a list of my favorite plants and some facts about them.
